Feast

Our feast will be during our lunch time tomorrow. (11:30)  We should be finished by 12:30.  Several of the students said they were going to be picked up after our feast so wanted you to know that was fine.  After listening to the foods they were bring on reports, I think we should be good with a meal and not just sweets.  Just in case, you may want to send a little something extra.  Everyone will need to bring a drink.  Can't wait to see costumes!  We are going to have such fun tomorrow!  Hope your child has shared with you about our guests this week from Kenya and China.  They were awesome!  Thank you Mrs. Dana and Dr. Steve Garrott for organizing this for us.  I think we all would starve if we had to eat with chopsticks!!!

Recipe

Don't forget to send the recipe sheet that was sent home last week.  Be sure to fill it out!

Country Reports

Country reports will be given Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We are doing the reports at school.  They will draw for their assigned day.  Thursday is International Feast Day. Students will dress in traditional clothing from the country they have chosen on Feast Day. They will also need to pick out a recipe from their country and bring the dish on that day. You only need to make enough for our class, but we will share leftovers with the other class.

AR Side Party/Field Day

• Students should wear shorts, shirts, and tennis shoes on Wednesday for the AR Slide Party.
• Field Day 8:30-11:00  There has been some confusion about dress for Field Day.  Students are not allowed to wear bathing suits. They should wear shorts, shirts, and tennis shoes.  Please apply sunscreen before arriving to school.  A note with more information is being sent home today.

Field Day

Field Day is Thursday.  A note will be sent home with information.

Tests/Homework

This will be our last week of testing.  Math test is Tuesday and reading test is Wednesday.  Spelling and language tests will be on Thursday.  Spelling words are from lists 31 and 32, testing odd numbers only.  The bonus word is the name of your country.
There will be no homework sheet this week.

End of the Year Party

Our end of the year party will be Friday, May 17 at Jodie Singleton's home.  We will leave school at 10:00.  Please let me know if you can drive.  If your child cannot swim they must have an adult accompany them.  A note with more information will be sent home about this.
